The Secret Life of Santa Claus Reviews
This book looks like a children's book and is published by Macmillan Children's Books. However I would not give it to a young child. It's delightfully warped for an adult or older child, but not appropriate for anyone in the age set it might - at first glance - look like it's for. Written in the form of an ABC book, some entries are just random:"artichoke : artichokes have no connection at all with Santa Claus. The do not make good presents, and you cannot make a Santa out of an artichoke."Some are bizarre:"unicorn : the red unicorn, or Christmas unicorn, is like the Christmas zebra. It's an ordinary unicorn, but it is red, and it doesn't exist."Some are the reason I wouldn't give it to a young child:"steam : when Santa takes a bath, it makes so much steam that the elves get scared and run away. This makes Santa smile.""India : in India there are little fakirs who think they are Santa Claus and try to fly. Children aren't fooled, however, and laugh at them."
This is a very funny and witty book, that I loved as a child and love equally as much now. This is a Christmas book like no other, and I would not go one Christmas without looking through it. A family favourites for sure.
Wish I could give this book ten stars! Adorable and really just cheeky enough for adults to love it more than kids. A family favorite for my five kids, we still break it out and pass it around almost twent years after we were first introduced. Love it, love it, love it!
full of great illustrations - funny - sweet - makes me sniffle everytime
This was an odd, little book. Almost too peculiar and somewhat silly and funny but mostly strange.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! This book is hilarious. It goes through the alphabet telling different things about Santa Claus, along with pics that tickle the funny bone!
